Hello & Welcome!
For posterity.
To quiet the ghosts.
To make sense of things.
I am taking apart the quilt of my experiences - pulling out the old seams and replacing the fabrics with something softer and stronger.
I am working to unlearn my conditioned patterns and beliefs about myself and the world that used to keep me safe but no longer serve me.
Subscribe to get my radically self-sharing letters in your inbox. I write about being an artist kind of human trying to heal from C-PTSD, trauma, addiction, and mental illness. In my letters, I often sound braver than I actually feel.
Let us kneel at the altar of the not-knowing.
I have been living a very fear-based life. Sometimes, it is too much even to leave my home. I am trying to be less scared and to take more chances.
It’s all interwoven. It’s a rich tapestry. Thank goddess for therapy.
I am an artist to the marrow of my bones and feel like my favorite version of myself when making or writing. When I do not create, I am unwell. I want to tell you about my creative process, imposter syndrome, self-doubt, and lack of self-worth - all of which I am working on. I want to take you with me as I endeavor to earn a sustainable living from my creative work. I want to tell you so many things.
I want to share with you, in real time, how art, trying to trust the unfolding, and learning to live within all of the uncertainty are helping me heal and how, sometimes, it all feels like one step forward and then two steps back.
I want to be a friend to those who are also healing. In my letters, you’ll find vulnerable honesty.
I’m trying to be brave. Don’t flinch?
While I plan to share aspects of my life with and send many of my digital letters to everyone, some are for paid subscribers or can only be found in the archives. Other people’s writing and art have changed my life. I believe all creative work should be valued. I wholeheartedly believe artists and writers deserve to be paid for their work and the level of soul they put into it.
Whatever capacity you have to be here is great with me. I’m grateful to have every single reader. If you want to subscribe and test the water before diving in, that’s wonderful. If you wish to remain a free subscriber forever, I appreciate you wanting to hear what I have to say. If eventually upgrading your subscription to paid is a possibility, I’d love it if you thought about it.
I write, create, and share from my core, and I want to keep doing this. If you decide to become a paid subscriber, I hope you will enjoy the extra bonuses.
Thank you for being here. I appreciate every subscriber, free or paid. It means so much to me that you care to read what I have to say. Let’s get that vulnerability hangover happening. Let’s make flailing publicly our new kink. I hope my letters make life a little more magical for you. But, most of all, I hope what I offer makes you feel less alone.
“Remember, remember, this is now, and now, and now. Live it, feel it, cling to it. I want to become acutely aware of all I’ve taken for granted.”
— Sylvia Plath

I appreciate every subscriber - free or paid. But it means so much to me when people decide to help support my work/creating financially so I can continue to make it. Unfortunately, even we artists and writers have to exist within capitalism.
